Logline:

A man invites the girl of his dreams over for a romantic dinner in an effort to win her heart, without revealing his most terrible secret, his COMBOVER.

Synopsis:

The year is 1961 – a time when couture fashion was all the rage, The Rat Pack ruled and cool was king but this is not a story about those types of people.

Meet HAROLD COMBS a middle-aged accountant who knows that he has found the girl of his dreams, now he only has to convince her of that fact. But Harold has a secret shame that he has “hidden” from the world, his COMBOVER.

Our story opens on Harold preparing for the most important night of his life, because in just a few short minutes the beautiful ABIGAIL will arrive at his apartment for their first date. A romantic dinner for two has been prepared and Harold is making sure everything is just right.

As the doorbell rings Harold anxiously takes a last quick glimpse around the small apartment. From the flowers to the music everything is perfect and in its place, especially his hair.

But things quickly become dire for our folliclely challenged hero as a series of events begins to escalate out of control leaving the dinner, a chance at love and his hair in ruins. Has the discovery of Harold’s secret shame ruined all chances of finding true love? Has the spark of romance been extinguished before it ever had a chance to burn? Is this the end? Of course not.

The boy still gets the girl, love does conquer all and we see that despite our seemingly insurmountable flaws love still finds away to look pass them and see what’s really important, in ourselves and in each other.
